TRAZIDEX UNGENA® is indicated for the treatment of external infections of the eye and its annexes caused by microorganisms susceptible to tobramycin, which is a broad spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic, effective against gram-positive and gram-negative germs, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, the most serious pathogen. ocular, and staphylococcus gold, the most common microorganism.

It is also effective against microorganisms resistant to gentamicin and other antibiotics, as it is less susceptible to being inactivated by bacterial enzymes. Tobramycin can be used in children and adults, and is also useful in preoperative and postoperative prophylaxis, in cases of corneal abrasions and superficial traumatic lesions of the eyeball.

TRAZIDEX UNGENA® is indicated to control post-surgical or post-traumatic eye inflammation, and prevent the spread of infections. It is also useful in the treatment of inflammation of the palpebral and bulbar conjunctiva, cornea and anterior uveal tract of the eye, when it is accompanied by infection or is at risk of developing it.

Advantages: The combination of a broad spectrum antibiotic with the most powerful steroid provides effective protection against possible postoperative infection, performs an effective control of postoperative, posttraumatic and uveitic inflammation and provides comfort in use as it is well tolerated.
